Ajay Maini, MBA, PMP, Senior Enterprise Architect, Department of Internal Services – ICT Services, Province of NS

Ajay Maini is a seasoned management professional with proven expertise in Business Analysis, Operational Excellence, and Project Management. He graduated from the National Defense Academy in India at an early age of 20. Ajay was commissioned as an officer in the Indian Defense Forces where he gradually built his leadership, operations, and general management skills. In 2005, Ajay’s profound interest, and progressively acquired IT management skills, led to him being transferred into the Army’s information systems’ branch where he headed and collaborated with teams, developing multi-million dollar, strategic, operational, and administrative information systems. He has been in the corporate world since January 2013.

Ajay received his Master of Business Administration (MBA), with specializations in management consulting and finance, from Sobey School of Business, Halifax, Canada in May 2014. Ajay has also earned the designation of a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Since July 2016, Ajay has been a Senior Business Architect in the Enterprise Architecture Division of the Department of Internal Services of the Province of Nova Scotia. He develops and improves business capability models and business processes for various internal departments with the objective of enhancing their service delivery efficiencies by optimal utilization of available technologies and reducing overall IT spend. In Dec 2018, Ajay became a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. He has worked on numerous process improvement projects for many departments such as ICT Services, Communication NS, Communities, Culture and Heritage and Fisheries & Aquaculture. Ajay continues to be actively involved in current process improvement initiatives in his own and other departments.
