Jag Sharma is a results driven executive whose career has spanned the private and public sector in progressive leadership roles. He was appointed CAO of the City of Oshawa in December 2015 having spent the previous five years as Commissioner of Community Services – the largest department of the City.
Before joining the City of Oshawa, Jag worked with Fujitsu Consulting as their National Lean Practice Lead in Toronto and with Canada Post first as Director of Continuous Improvement and Engineering and later as Director of Gateway Operations in the GTA. Mr. Sharma holds an MBA from Queen’s University as well as a BSc, Electrical Engineering from the GM Engineering and Management Institute. A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt professional, Mr. Sharma has successfully led multiple process improvement projects in various sectors and has been a presenter in numerous workshops on Lean Methodology.
